綺麗な形のままのシベのあるアサガオがありました。シベの数もちょうど２本。ガイドランナーと走る視覚障害のあるパラアスリートのように見えます。ちょうど朝の日差しが横から差し込んでいたので、それを利用して、勝者を照らす栄光の光を演出。ちょうど、道下さんがゴールする瞬間、蜘蛛の切れ間から日が差し込んできていました。そんな光景をイメージしてみました。
アサガオは英語では morning glory。gloryは「栄光」という意味です。
A tribute to Ms. Michishita, who won a gold medal in the marathon on the last day of the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 yesterday.
There was a morning glory with stamen that was still in beautiful shape. The number of stamen was exactly two. It looks like a visually impaired para-athlete running with a guide runner. The morning sun was just shining in from the side, so I used it to create a glorious light to illuminate the winner. Just at the moment when Ms. Michishita was reaching the finish line, the sun was shining through a gap in the spider. I tried to imagine such a scene.
