梅雨が明けたと思ったら、猛暑の夏がやって来ました。

朝から日差しが強く、アサガオの花は次々にしぼんでしまいます。

その中にショウリョウバッタの幼虫を見つけました。

強い日差しを避けるでもなくじっとしていましたから、日差しを受けて体温が上がるのを待っていたのかもしれません。

こちらは長時間日差しの中にいたら干上がってしまいかねないので、早々に引き上げです。

Just when we thought the rainy season was over, the extremely hot summer arrived.

The morning sun was so strong that the morning glory flowers were shriveling up one after another.

Among the flowers, I found a larva of a grasshopper.

It was staying still without avoiding the strong sunlight, so it might have been waiting for its body temperature to rise in the sunlight.

I had to pull them out as soon as possible because they might dry up if they stay in the sun for a long time.
