　今日は絞りを開放(F2.8)にして撮ってみました。ピントがあう場所は理論的には点というか面です。そこからカメラから見て前後に外れるにしたがって次第に像がボケていくのですが、ボケの大きさが例えば撮像素子のひとつの素子の大きさより小さければそのボケを記録することができません。つまりボケていない＝ピントがあっているように見える、ということです。このピントがあっているように見える範囲を被写界深度と言います。このレンズ（90mmマクロ）でF2.8の時、被写界深度は5mm程です。この写真は針の中心点にピントをあわせました。そこから前後合わせて5mm程の範囲がピントが合っているように見える、というわけです。

    Today I took a picture with the aperture open (F2.8). The place to focus is theoretically a point or a surface. The image gradually blurs as it deviates back and forth from the focal plane, but if the size of the blur is smaller than the size of one element of the image sensor, for example, the blur cannot be recorded. In other words, it is not out of focus = it looks like it is in focus.  The range that seems to be in focus is called the depth of field. When the aperture value is F2.8 with this lens (90mm macro), , the depth of field is about 5mm. This photo focuses on the center point of the needle. From there, it seems that the area of ​​about 5 mm in total is in focus.
