山茶花と椿はともに冬の季節に咲く数少ない花です。共にツバキ科の植物なのでよく似ていますが、山茶花の葉はギザギザしている（椿の葉にはギザギザがない）ので見分けがつきます。このギザギザが日の光によくひかり、マクロで撮ると鮮やかで面白いボケ味を醸し出してくれます。

Both sasanqua and camellia are one of the few flowers that bloom in the winter season. Both are plants of the Theaceae family, so they are very similar. The leaves of sasanqua flowers are jagged (the leaves of camellia are not jagged), so they can be distinguished. This jaggedness shines well in the sunlight, and when taken with a macro lens, it creates a vivid and interesting bokeh.
