　今朝はこの冬初の氷点下になりました。朝日がさしてきたところで早速小鳥の水飲み場に張った氷を撮りました。氷はPLフィルターを通して撮影するとカラフルに発光します。氷が光るわけではなく、氷の表面で反射した光が波長によって偏光度が異なり、PLフィルターを通して見ると色がついて見えるようです。

    This morning it was below freezing for the first time this winter. When the morning sun came, I immediately took a picture of the ice on the small bird's drinking fountain. Ice glows colorfully when taken through a PL filter. The ice does not shine, and the light reflected on the surface of the ice has different degrees of polarization depending on the wavelength, and it seems that it looks colored when viewed through a PL filter.
