「希望」

　先日ランと書いた花は、和名ユリズイセン、アリストロメリアという南米原産の花でした。英名はlily of the Incas（インカのユリ）だそうです。花の色は色々あるようで、庭に咲いているのは赤と紫です。先日載せたのは紫の方。黄色にヒョウ柄の斑点があるのが特徴で、これは虫を誘うためのものだそうです。そのヒョウ柄の部分をぼかして外へ広がる希望を表現してみました。

    　The flower I wrote about the other day as an orchid was a lily of the valley, native to South America, called Aristolo Melia. The English name is lily of the Incas. I've heard that the flowers come in various colors, and the ones in my garden are red and purple. The one I posted the other day is the purple one. It is characterized by its yellow color with leopard spots, which are said to be used to attract insects. I tried to blur the leopard pattern to express the hope that spreads outward.
