「Hold me gently」

　紫陽花を撮りに出かけたところまだ薔薇が咲いていたので薔薇を撮ってきました。春の薔薇は香りは良いのですが、気温が高いので花に傷みが多いのが難点です。なるべく痛みのない個体を選んで接写。薄曇りの状態で柔らかめの光が差していたので、右手でカメラをホールド。軽いミラーレスカメラと軽いタムロン製の９０mmマクロの組み合わせなので右手だけでホールドできます。右手だけではピントリングは回せませんが、ある程度左手でピントを合わせておいて、右手だけのときは体を前後させてピント位置を調整します。空いた左手でピントを合わせたい、つまり、主題のところに影を作ります。この作品では、花びらの一枚だけに日をあて、残りの部分を左手の影で覆っています。影の量を調整しながら連写！柔らかい暈け味の一枚が撮れました。

    　When I went out to take pictures of hydrangeas, the roses were still in bloom, so I took some pictures of roses. Roses in spring have a nice scent, but because of the high temperatures, the flowers are often damaged. I chose a rose with as little damage as possible for a close-up shot. It was lightly cloudy and softly lit, so I held the camera with my right hand. The combination of a light mirrorless camera and a light Tamron 90mm macro allowed me to hold the camera with my right hand only. Although I can't turn the focus ring with only my right hand, I can keep the camera in focus with my left hand to some extent and adjust the focus position by moving my body back and forth when I have only my right hand. Use your free left hand to create a shadow where you want the subject to be in focus. In this work, the sun shines on only one petal and the shadow of the left hand covers the rest of the petal. Take a series of shots while adjusting the amount of shadow. I was able to capture a photo with soft vertigo.
