強い日差しを受けて、輝くコスモスの花を逆光サイドから一枚。

逆光サイドから狙うと、明るいものがなければ、背景は黒くなります。

肉眼に比べ、カメラのほうがダイナミックレンジが狭いため、肉眼では見えるところもカメラでは暗く（＝黒く）なり、写りません。

暗いところも写るように、露出をプラス補正すると、明るいところが白トビして潰れてしまいます。

この一枚は、ダイナミックレンジの狭さを逆手にとって、背景を単純化し、輝きを強調する表現になっています。

This is a shot of a cosmos flower shining in the strong sunlight from the backlit side.

When shooting from the backlit side, the background will be black unless there is something bright in the background.

Because the dynamic range of a camera is narrower than that of the naked eye, areas visible to the naked eye will be darkened (i.e., blackened) by the camera and will not be captured.

If the exposure is corrected to capture the dark areas, the bright areas will be blurred and whitewashed.

In this shot, the narrow dynamic range is taken advantage of to simplify the background and emphasize the brightness.
