今日は昨日から降り始めた雨が朝まで残り、雨スタートの日になりました。お昼くらいから晴れるとの予報、朝の撮影はパスし、日差しが出るのを待つことにしました。狙いは雨粒のついた観葉植物です。観葉植物の葉が作る直線と雨粒による円暈け、虹暈けとの組み合わせが面白い造形を見せてくれます。
ところで、以前から撮影時の手を守るため、カメラ用のグローブが欲しかった。撮影時によく使う親指と人差し指の指先だけ穴が空いているものです。ショップへ行ったりネットで探したりしたのですが、冬用のものしか見つかりませんでした（冬用のものはすでに持っていますが、いまイチ使い勝手がよくないのと、真冬仕様なので真冬以外はやはり暑い）。先日、ある写真家のブログに、パンダグリップなる運搬作業用のグローブがなかなか使い勝手がよい、と紹介があったので早速ワークマンに走りました。ネットでも購入できますが、指先、特に、右手の親指と人差し指の指先のフィット感が大切、とそのブログに書かれていたので試着ができるリアル店舗へ。カメラ操作時にグローブの中で指先が動くと操作に違和感が出てストレスに繋がります。サイズはS、L、LLの三種類（何故か、Mがない）。手、指全体へのフィット感はLサイズでしたが、指先が少々緩い感じがして、一番小さなSサイズにしました。グローブは手のひらと指先に滑り止めがついていて、カメラのグリップ感やダイヤル操作感は素手より滑らなくなりいい感じです。シャッターは流石に一枚噛んでいる分、シャッターが切れるまでのタイムラグみたいなものを感じましたが、すぐに慣れました。いいものを見つけました。これで蚊や枝や葉による擦り傷に悩まされずにすみそうです。

By the way, I have always wanted a pair of camera gloves to protect my hands when shooting. I've been looking for one with holes only for the tips of my thumb and index finger, which we often use when shooting. I went to a store and looked for them on the Internet, but I could only find winter ones (I already have winter ones, but they are not very useful and they are still hot outside of midwinter because they are designed for cold winter). The other day, I read on a photographer's blog that Panda Grip is a glove for transportation work that is quite useful, so I immediately ran to Workman. We can buy them online, but the blog mentioned that the fit of the fingertips, especially the thumb and index finger of the right hand, is important, so I went to a real store where I could try them on. If the fingertips move in the glove when operating the camera, it will make the operation uncomfortable and lead to stress. There are three sizes: S, L, and LL (for some reason, there is no M). The size L fit my hand and fingers as a whole, but the fingertips felt a little loose, so I went with the smallest size S. The glove has anti-slip material on the palm and fingertips, and the camera grip and dials feel better than with bare hands because they are not slippery. The shutter felt like it had a time lag until it was released, but I got used to it quickly. I found a good one. Now I won't have to worry about mosquitoes or scratches from branches and leaves.
