今朝の冷え込みで今シーズン初、薄氷が張りました。

早速薄氷を水から取り出して日のあたる場所へ。

PLフィルターを通して見ると虹のように発色します。

フィルターの角度によって発色具合が変わるので

フィルターを回しながら良さそうな角度を探します。

また、氷は水に浸かっていると発色しないので

空中に浮かすのがコツ。

でこぼこしたところに氷を置くだけですが。

氷に当てる光も偏光板を通すと更に発色がよくなるようです。

色々と準備が必要なので別の機会にトライしてみます。

This morning's cold weather brought the first light ice of this season.

I immediately took the ice out of the water and put it in the sunlight.

When you look at it through a PL filter, it looks like a rainbow of colors.

The colors change depending on the angle of the filter.

I turned the filter to find a good angle.

Also, ice does not produce color when it is immersed in water.

The trick is to float the ice in the air, but only by placing it on a bumpy surface.

The light shining on the ice also seems to improve the color if it passes through a polarizer.

There are many preparations required, so I'll try it another time.
