昨日と同じ緑地公園にて。

幅広の葉に溜まっていた水やりの水への写り込みを撮った一枚。

外は曇り空だったので淡い光が写り込み、幻のように浮き上がりました。

This is a shot of the reflection in the watering water that had accumulated on the wide leaf.

It was cloudy outside, so the pale light reflected in the image, making it appear as if it were floating in the air.

新しいインスピレーションを得ようと久しぶりに近くの緑地公園へでかけました。

場所を変えるだけで、普段とは違う発想が生まれるものです。

これは緑地公園の中にある温室で育てられているコルディリネ・アイチアカという品種の観葉植物です。

その名の通り葉があかいく、しかも蛍光色なのが特徴です。

葉の隙間から見える根本に植えてある緑と組み合わせて画にしてみました。

温室内は暗いので中間リングは外しています。

I went to a nearby green park for the first time in a while to get some new inspiration.

A change of location can bring forth different ideas than usual.

This is a Cordyline aichiaca, aca means red in Japanese, a variety of ornamental plant grown in a greenhouse in the park.

As the name suggests, the leaves are reddish brown and fluorescent.

I tried to combine it with the greenery planted at the base of the plant, which can be seen through the gaps in the leaves, to create a picture.

The middle ring has been removed because it is dark in the greenhouse.

日差しのもとでは暑さを感じる季節になりました。

ファン付きの作業服の出番。

雨上がり、日差しが出てきたので急いでカメラを担いで庭へ。

今日のお題はスズランです。

スズランの葉にも細かな毛がびっしり生えているようで、それを暈すと発光しているかのように写ります。

岡山に「光の魔術師」もしくは「色彩の魔術師」と呼ばれるアマチュア写真家がいました。

敬愛する写真家の一人、緑川洋一氏です。

彼が活躍していたのはフィルムの時代。

様々なフィルターを自作して目の前に広がる瀬戸内海を撮影されていたようです。

朝とか夕とか、刻々と変化する海の色をそのフィルターを通して表現されました。

今はデジタルの時代。

デジタルフィルターを駆使して光を操り作品を作るのが私のライフワークになりました。

After the rain, the sun came out and I hurried to the garden carrying my camera.

Today's subject is lily of the valley.

The leaves of the lily of the valley seem to be covered with fine hairs, which, when photographed in the light, give the impression of luminescence.

There was an amateur photographer in Okayama who was called a "magician of light" or a "magician of colors”.

He is one of my favorite photographers, Yoichi Midorikawa.

He was active in the days of film.

He used to take pictures of the Seto Inland Sea stretching out before his eyes using a variety of filters he had made by himself.

He expressed the ever-changing colors of the sea, such as morning and evening, through these filters.

This is the digital times.

Making full use of digital filters to manipulate light and create works of art has become my life's work.

お題はいつもの観葉植物（ユッカ）です。

葉の間から覗いている緑を活かして一枚。

The sky looked as if it would start pouring at any moment.

Since I could not increase the shutter speed, I chose a subject that would not shake easily.

Today's subject was the usual houseplant (yucca).

I took advantage of the greenery peeking out from between the leaves.

今日のお題は昨日の昼ごろ咲いた薔薇の花です。

昨日の雨による水滴が花びらの間に残っていて日差しを受けて輝いていました。

花の色を活かしてほんわかとした雰囲気を演出してみた一枚。

Today's subject is a rose that bloomed around noon yesterday.

Water droplets from yesterday's rain remained between the petals and shone in the sunlight.

I tried to create a soft atmosphere by taking advantage of the color of the flower.

今日は朝から雨が降り出す不順な天気。

大型連休までしばらく雨がちの日が続くそうです。

ということで今日のお題は玄関先に生えている羊歯様の観葉植物です。

ここならさほど雨に濡れずに撮影ができます。

でも、暗いので明るい９０mmに中間リングは使わずに撮影。

まだ青白い若葉を暈して発光しているような画にまとめてみました。

The weather today is rainy from this morning.

It is expected to continue raining for a while until the major holidays.

So, today's subject is the sheep's tooth-like foliage plant growing at the entrance.

I can take pictures here without getting soaked by the rain.

But it was dark, so I used the bright 90mm lens without using the intermediate ring.

I tried to create an image of luminescence by dazzling the young leaves, which are still pale.

”動き”のある写真についての考察～その１０～

視線の動きを誘導する形に三角形があります。

三角形は線でなくても、３つの点で構成されていても同じような効果があります。

誘導の方向は、対向する底辺から尖った頂点へと向かう方向のように思われがちですが、実際は両方法あるように思われます。

有名な失敗例にエレベータの「開く」ボタンがあります。

これをデザインした人は、三角形の先が矢印と同じく扉が開く方向を表しているように感じてデザインされたと思いますが、その逆＝閉じる方向に感じた人も沢山いたようです。

実のところ私も、閉じかけたエレベータの扉を開くのに反対の閉じるボタンを押していたた口です。

最近はこのボタンの上に「開」とのステッカーを貼ったエレベータをよく見かけます。

ということで三角形の視線誘導は両方向あると考えておいたほうがいいと思います。

今日のお題はサツキです。

４月に咲くのは”ツツジ”だという話もある。

私的には、小ぶりで地味な花を咲かせるのが「ツツジ」、大柄で派手な花を咲かせるのが「サツキ」です。

まぁ、どちらもツツジ科の花なので同じ。

花の根元に日が差している個体を選び、長い蕊の根本をクローズアップした一枚。

Today's subject is satsuki (azalea).

Some people say that azaleas bloom in April.

In my opinion, "azalea" has small and plain flowers, while "satsuki" has large and showy flowers.

Well, they are the same because they both belong to the azalea family.

I selected an individual with the sun shining at the base of the flower and took a close-up of the root of the long stamen.

昨日の午後から降り始めた雨は未明には止み、朝には日差しが出てきました。

こういうときは水滴による虹暈けや丸暈けの撮影チャンスです。

しかし、今日は意外と雲が多く、日差しが安定しません。

構図を探っているうちに日が隠れシャッターを切る時間がない。

なんとかものにした一枚をアップします。

The rain that began falling yesterday afternoon stopped before dawn and the sun came out in the morning.

This is a good time to photograph rainbow and round vignetting caused by water droplets.

However, there were unexpectedly many clouds today, and the sunlight was not stable.

While I was trying to compose my shot, the sun was hiding and I didn't have time to release the shutter.

Here is a shot I managed to capture.

”動き”のある写真についての考察～その９～

ここまで紹介した４つの要素は、強弱はあるもののいづれも視線を動かす方向が一方向である、という特徴がありました。

これから紹介する要素は、その方向が両方向であるものです。

一番強く誘導する要素に、線（直線、曲線）があります。

視線は線に沿って両方向に動きます。

ただ、視線が動くからといって、画に動きが出るとは限りません。

フレームに対して水平あるいは垂直な線は動きではなく安定感を感じさせます。

逆に、フレームに対して傾いている線に対しては動きを感じます。

それは、我々が重力のある世界に生きていることに関係がありそうです。

水平線や地平線がフレームに対して傾いていると、見る人はそこに動き～不安定感を感じてしまいます。

それが撮影者の意図したものであればOKですが、大多数の場合、そのような動きを意図して水平線や地平線は撮らないでしょうから、水平線や地平線はフレーム（下辺）に対して水平でなければならないのです。

同様に、特別な意図がない限り電柱は垂直である必要があります。

今日のお題はサツキです。

花は濃い赤紫色で、長くて細い蕊が特徴。

新緑の葉っぱとのコントラストが綺麗だったので、逆光側から狙って花や葉の色を鮮やかにし、長い蕊を主題にして一枚。

Today's subject is satsuki.

The flowers are dark reddish purple and characterized by long, thin stamens.

The contrast with the fresh green leaves was beautiful, so I took a shot from the backlit side to bring out the vivid colors of the flowers and leaves, and used the long stamens as the subject.

誘導する力としては弱いですが、明暗も視線の動きを誘導します。

明→暗の方向です。

誘導する力が弱いので、他の要素と組み合わせて使うと効果的だと思います。

いつもの観葉植物（ユッカ）です。

葉が若いのか表面が白く光るくらいに細かい毛が生えているみたいで、それが暈けると面白い造形を見せてくれました。

This is my usual houseplant (yucca).

The leaves seem to be young or have fine hairs that make the surface white and shiny, and they show an interesting shape when the leaves are in a daze.

”動き”のある写真についての考察～その７～

もう少し視線の動きを誘導する要素について考えてみたいと思います。

デザイン理論によれば、大きいものから次に小さいもの、そしてより小さいものへと視線は誘導されるようです。

視線の動きの方向は大→中→小です。

新聞などにおいて、より重要なニュースの見出しのほうがより大きいのはこの理論によるものです。

被写体が複数あったらその大小に差をつけるように撮ると、視線の動きが誘導されて画にリズムがでます（単調さを避けられる）。

雨が上がった朝。

今日のお題は咲き始めたスズランと水滴です。

小さな白い花が可憐なスズランですが、花はなかなか画にしにくい。

結局、葉をモチーフに虹暈けを添えて一枚としました。

Today's subject is a lily that has begun to bloom and water droplets.

The lily of the valley has lovely small white flowers, but the flowers are difficult to capture in a picture.

In short, I decided to use the leaves as a motif and add a rainbow motif to the picture.

今日は朝から雨模様。

久々に簡易防水装置を取り出して、小止みになった瞬間に庭へ。

ユリオプスデージーの細い茎にびっしりと水滴がついていたので、写り込みにピントを合わせて一枚。

水滴の列から当距離になる位置にカメラを構えると水滴の全てにピントを合わせることが出来ます。

It has been raining since this morning.

I took out a simple waterproof device after a while and went to the garden the moment it stopped raining lightly.

The thin stems of the Euryops daisy were covered with droplets of water, so I focused on the reflection and took a shot.

If I positioned the camera at the right distance from the row of droplets, I could focus on all of the droplets.

今日のお題は今庭のあちこちに咲いているマツバウンランです。

ランという名前がついていますが、蘭ではなくゴマノハグサ科の植物のようです。

葉っぱが松の葉の細いので”マツバ”。

並んで咲いているものを前暈けにしたり、後ろ暈けにしたりと色々撮ってみましたが、どれもオーソドックスな画になるので真上から撮ったものを選びました。

タイトルの輝きはマツバウンランの花言葉からいただきました。

Today's subject is the Matsubaunran, which is blooming here and there in the garden right now.

Although it has the name "orchid," it is not an orchid but a plant of the sesamum family.

It is called " matsuba" because its leaves are thin like those of a pine tree (matsu, in japanese).

I tried various ways of taking pictures of them blooming in a row, such as with a front vertigo or a back vertigo, but they all turned out to be orthodox pictures, so I chose the one taken from directly above.

I chose the one taken from directly above because it was the orthodox one. I got the title "brilliance" from the language of pineapple orchid flowers.

最近花も咲き始めています。

チューリップの魅力がウェイブした葉にあるとすれば、スズランの魅力は規則正しく対数螺旋状に巻いた葉にあります。

その螺旋の中心部に焦点を合わせてクローズアップしてみました。

Today's subject is lily of the valley leaf.

It has recently begun to flower.

While tulips' charm lies in their wavy leaves, lily of the valley's charm lies in its regularly curled leaves in a logarithmic spiral.

I focused on the center of the spiral in this close-up.

雨が上がった朝は水玉を求めてマクロ撮影です。

チューリップの花の上に残った水玉の写り込みにピントを合わせて一枚。

撮影後、天地を逆にしてスクエアにクロッピングしました。

In the morning after the rain, I took macro shots in search of polka dots.

I took this shot by focusing on the reflection of the polka dots left on the tulip flower.

After taking the picture, I reversed the top and bottom and cropped it to square.

オオイヌノフグリとタンポポが並んで咲いていたので、タンポポの黄色とオオイヌノフグリの青を対比させて春を表現してみました。

The dandelion and the goldenrod were blooming side by side, so I tried to express spring by contrasting the yellow of the dandelion with the blue of the goldenrod.

昨日の出来がイマイチ納得がいかなかったのでもう一度レンズ玉を置いて一枚。

奥行き感のある光景を写し込むほうが良さそうです。

天地を逆転し、周りは焼き込んでみました。

I wasn't satisfied with yesterday's results, so I put the lens ball down again and took a shot.

I thought it would be better to capture a scene with a sense of depth.

I reversed the top and bottom of the image and baked in the surrounding area.

今、集中的にこの冬撮影したマクロ撮影の氷の写真の多深度合成作業を進めています。

現時点で最も効率がよく精度の良い手法を備忘録代わりに書き留めておきます。

① 現像作業【Lightroom】

② Photoshopへの移行【Lightroom】

　　Alt+P(写真)→E(他ツールで編集)→Photoshopでレイヤーとして開く

③ レイヤの並び修正【Photoshop】

　　一番奥に焦点があるレイヤーを最上位に、以下、より手前に焦点があるレイヤーをより下位にする。レイヤは若番が一番上位にくるように並ぶのでピントを奥から手前に移動させながら撮影するとこの作業は省くことができる。

④ ズレ、歪の補正【Photoshop】

　　焦点位置によって写り込む範囲が異なる（焦点が近いほど狭くなる）ためそれを補正する。

　　より上位のレイヤーの不透明度を５０％程度にし、ひとつ下のレイヤーを動かして(Ctrl+マウス左クリックか矢印キー)焦点があっているあたりの位置を合わせる。

　　イメージの下側が大きく写っているので、Alt+E(編集)→A(変形)→D(多方向に伸縮)にて上位のイメージに合うように変形させる。イメージの上の方は上位のレイヤーに隠されるので、イメージの下の方だけ変形させればよい。

　　上位のレイヤーの可視化チェック（目のマーク）を外し、透明化し、作業レイヤーをひとつ下げる。以下、最下位のレイヤーまで繰り返す。

⑤　縮小部分の補正【Photoshop】

　　すべてのレイヤーを作業レイヤーに選択（可視化は最下位のレイヤーのみにしておくと作業がしやすい）、Alt+E(編集)→A(変形)→D(多方向に伸縮)にてもとの大きさにもどし、すべてのレイヤーの不透明度を１００％に戻す。

⑥　焦点領域の選択【Photoshop】

　　Alt+S(選択範囲)→D(焦点領域)でポップアップにて、

　　出力先：選択範囲

　　パラメーター：２～３の間で手動チューニング。自動チェックは外す

　　エッジをぼかしのチェックも外す

⑦　選択範囲の調整【Photoshop】

　　最上位のレイヤーから下へ作業。

　　⑥で選んだ範囲を調整（余分なところは消す。上位レイヤによって隠される部分は選択範囲に加える等）。選択範囲を反転させて(Ctrl+Shft+I)、焦点領域外のイメージを消去する。

⑧　非焦点領域のイメージ消去【Photoshop】

　　作業レイヤの可視化チェックを外して下位レイヤーのイメージと比較し、ピントが合っていないイメージは消去する。

⑨　⑦～⑧をすべてのレイヤーで繰り返す（最下位のレイヤーは不要）【Photoshop】

⑩　保存【Photoshop】【Lightroom】

　　イメージ保存後、Lightroomにて再現像し完成。

using a lens ball

牡丹が綺麗に咲きました。

ただ撮っても面白くないと思い、所謂レンズ玉を使ってみました。

よく占い師が使っている真球のガラス玉です。

写り込みをはっきりさせるため少し絞り込んでいます。

レンズ玉をなるべく主題に近づけて置くのがポイントです。

三脚に固定できる台が付属していたので、三脚にその台をつけその上にレンズ玉を置けば一人で撮影できます。

花の近くに三脚を立てることになるので公共の場では不向きです。

Peonies have bloomed beautifully.

I thought it would not be interesting to just take pictures, so I used a so-called lens ball.

It is a true glass ball often used by fortune tellers.

I stopped down the aperture a little to make the image clearer.

The key is to place the lens bead as close to the subject as possible.

The kit came with a stand that can be fixed to a tripod, so if you attach the stand to the tripod and place the lens ball on it, you can take the picture by yourself.

This is not suitable for public places because you will have to set up the tripod near the flowers.

マツバウンランの小さく紫色の可憐な花が咲き始めました。

手前にある花には日差しがあり、奥の主題となる花は日陰にある状態で一枚。

露出は主題に合わせると、前の花は明るく優しい前暈けになってアクセントを創り出してくれます。

うまく利用すると雲の中にあるような雰囲気を表現することができます。

The small, purple, dainty flowers of the Matsubaunran have begun to bloom.

This shot was taken with the flower in the foreground in the sun and the subject flower in the background in the shade.

When the exposure is set to the subject, the flowers in the foreground are brightly and softly frontalized to create an accent.

When used properly, this can create an atmosphere as if the subject were in the clouds.

"動き"のある写真についての考察～その７～

デザイン理論の中に"Eye movement"という概念があることがわかりました。

英語版のWikipediaにも解説が掲載されていました。

その解説によると、人の視線は最初に画を見たとき暫くの間一点に固定され、その後固定されることなくさまようようになるらしいです。

その”さまよい方”に何かしらの法則があるかどうかについては触れられていませんでした。

まだ研究していませんが、別の解説もあるようなので少し取っ掛かりを見つけることができたようです。

チューリップは真上から日が差すと花のおしりの部分が明るく輝くものがあります。

おしりの部分が白くなっているタイプのものです。

その部分をクローズアップした一枚。

昨年の秋に新たに買った球根の一部にこういうタイプのものがありました。

Some tulips shine brightly at the flower's base when the sun shines directly overhead.

This is a type of tulip that has a white rim.

This is a close-up of that part.

Some of the new bulbs I bought last fall were of this type.

"動き"のある写真についての考察～その６～

視線の誘導というキーワードでネットを検索すると多くはWebデザイン系の記事がでてきます。

かのWikipediaには（英語バージョンも含め）「視線誘導」や「視線の法則」等の言葉は掲載されていません。

マイケル・フリーマンはその著書の中で写真の「デザイン」という概念を用い、デザインを構成する要素（グラフィック要素）として様々な要素を紹介しています。

その要素の多くは「視線誘導」の考え方で理解できるような気がしますし、デザイン要素だけでは構図の決定はできないように思っています。

もっと、例えば、心理学的に研究されている概念かと思っていたのですが、案外、私の勝手な思い込みに過ぎないのかもしれません。

まぁ、もう少し文献をあたってみます。

今日は用事があったこともあって、夕方の日差しによる撮影となりました。

日が差す方向や角度が変わると同じものでも表情が変わります。

撮影時間を変えてみるのも新しい発見があって面白いものです。

お題はいつものチューリップの葉。

いつもより低い角度の日差しが葉の真横から当たる形になり趣が違う画になりました。

Today, I had some errands to run, so I took this photo in the evening sunlight.

The same object will look different when the direction and angle of the sun changes.

It is interesting to discover new things by changing the shooting time.

The subject was the usual tulip leaves.

The sun shone on the leaves from a lower angle than usual, hitting them from the side, and the resulting image had a different feel.

昨日に続いてチューリップの細い首に挑戦。

花と花の間から日差しが差し込んでいるところをクローズアップし、その細さをシンプルに表現してみました。

Continuing from yesterday, I tried my hand at the thin neck of a tulip.

I tried to express its thinness in a simple way by taking a close-up of the sunlight shining through the space between the flowers.

今日のお題はチューリップの首です。

ワイングラスのようなチューリップの花ですが、その細長い首の部分も独特の色気がありますね。

チューリップの花々の間からチラリと覗く首筋を撮ってみました。

Today's subject is the neck of a tulip.

The tulip flower looks like a glass of wine, but its long, slender neck also has a unique sexy look.

I tried to capture a glimpse of the neck peeking out from among the tulips.

今日のお題はチューリップの葉の方です。

その特徴的な曲線が魅力的。

朝方の高度の低い日差しが、その曲線を浮き上がらせてくれました。

手前の赤色のチューリップの花を利用して余分なものを隠しています。

Today's subject is the leaves of the tulip.

Its characteristic curves are attractive.

The low altitude sunlight in the morning brought those curves into focus.

The red tulip flowers in the front are used to hide the excess.

”動き”のある写真についての考察～その６～

視線の動きを誘導するものに、（人の）指や手があります。

指が差す方向に視線は誘導されます。

その先に何があるかで様々なストーリーを作ることができます。

何もなくてもさらにその先に（フレームの外に）なにかあるのでは、と見る側が勝手に想像してくれるのです。

したがって、ポートレートでは顔の表情以上に指（手）の扱いが大切のようです。

ポートレートや肖像画を見る機会があれば、その人の手がどのように描かれているか見てみるのも面白いと思います。

今日のお題も黄色のチューリップです。

チューリップの花に日が差すとマクロ撮影日和。

チューリップの花は薄い花びら数枚で、ワイングラスのようなカップ状の花を形成されています。

部分的に花びらは重なっていて、日差しを透して見るとシャープなラインや綺麗なグラデーションが現れます。

そこが狙い目となります。

Today's subject is also yellow tulips.

When the sun shines on a tulip flower, it is a good day for macro photography.

Tulip flowers are made up of several thin petals, forming a cup-shaped flower like a wine glass.

The petals are partially overlapped, and when viewed through the sunlight, sharp lines and beautiful gradations appear.

That is where you should aim for.

一年前に撮った作品から。

お題は黄色のチューリップです。

手前のチューリップ越しに（前暈けにして）もうひとつのチューリップを狙ったもの。

ファインダーを覗きながら画になるアングルを探っていくので、シャッターを切った段階で２つ（３つかも？）のチューリップの位置関係は詳しくはわかりません。

２～３cm四方の小さな世界を見ているので、肉眼で見ている世界とファインダー越しに見える世界と大きく違う場合が多く、それがまたマクロ撮影の魅力だったりします。

From a piece I took a year ago.

The subject is yellow tulips.

I aimed at the other tulip through the tulip in the foreground.

I was looking through the viewfinder to find the best angle for the picture, so when the shutter was released, there were two (or maybe three?) tulips in the foreground and one in the background. The positional relationship between the two tulips is not known in detail.

Since we are looking at a small world of 2 to 3 cm square, the world we see with the naked eye and the world we see through the viewfinder are often very different, which is also the charm of macro photography.

- おぼろ  -

おそらく水を入れたトレイの縁あたりに日差しが反射していて、それが花びらの後方に丸ボケを作りました。

その丸ボケを使って創造した一枚。

丸ボケの中にゴミのようなものが写りこむことがあるのですが、どうもそれはレンズの後玉（センサーに一番近いレンズ）に付着しているゴミのようです。

ブロアで清掃したら消えました。

The sunlight was probably reflected around the edge of the tray filled with water, which created a round blur behind the petals.

This is a shot I created using that round bokeh.

Sometimes something that looks like dust appears in the round bokeh, but it seems to be dust on the back of the lens (the lens closest to the sensor).

I cleaned it with a blower and it disappeared.

昨日撮ったうちの一枚。

地面に落ちているサクラの花を拾ってきて、トレイに入れた水の上に浮かべました。

その水面へ写り込んだサクラの花びらを主題にまとめてみました。

One of the pictures I took yesterday.

I picked up cherry blossoms that had fallen to the ground and floated them on a tray of water.

I used the cherry blossom petals that appeared on the surface of the water as the subject of this shot.

”動き”のある写真についての考察〜その５〜

視線の動きが誘導されあちこち見ることで、より長くその写真を見てもらうことができます。

長く見てもらえればそれだけ印象に残りやすくなるはず。

印象に残っている、ということはそれはほぼほぼ良い画（写真）と等しいと考えてもいいので、視線の動きを誘導すれば良い画になる？

早いものでもう桜の季節ですね。

今日のお題は桜にしようと決めて近くの公園へでかけました。

公園の桜はもう満開、折からの風に吹かれて散り始めていました。

個人的には桜は雲のように咲いている様を広角で撮るのが好きなので、マクロレンズではあまり撮ったことがありません。

何枚かシャッターを切ったのですが、風が強い事もあってフレーミングが決まらず断念。

丸ごと落ちている桜の花を何輪か拾い、テーブルフォトにすることにしました。

黒いトレーに水を入れ、そこに花を浮かべ日差しのもとで撮影しました。

The cherry blossom season has come early.

I decided that today's theme would be cherry blossoms, so I went to a nearby park.

The cherry blossoms in the park were already in full bloom and were beginning to fall in the wind.

Personally, I like to take wide-angle pictures of cherry blossoms blooming like clouds, so I have not taken many pictures with a macro lens.

I tried to take a few shots, but the strong wind made it difficult to frame the shot and I had to give up.

I decided to pick up some cherry blossoms that had fallen whole and use them as table photos.

I filled a black tray with water, floated the flowers on it, and photographed them under the sunlight.
