今日は岐阜の薔薇園で江口眞一先生の撮影会に参加してきました。

時折雲が日差しを遮るくらいでピーカンの天気。

薔薇を撮るには日差しが強すぎて不向きです。

こういう時は日傘の出番です。

左手で日傘を持ち、被写体に差し掛け影にします。

カメラは一脚に据えて右手で支え、ピントは体を前後させて合わせます。

これは被写体を部分的に影にして撮った一枚。

Today I participated in a photo session with Mr. Shinichi Eguchi at the Rose Garden in Gifu.

The weather was fine, with occasional clouds blocking out the sunlight.

The sun was too strong for photographing roses.

This is the time to use a parasol.

Holding the parasol in my left hand, I put it over the subject to cast a shadow.

The camera is held on a monopod and supported by the right hand, and the focus is adjusted by moving the body back and forth.

This is a shot taken with the subject partially in shadow.
