- Flower in the sky -

今日は朝から曇り空。

光が少ないので中間リングは外しました。

中間リングを入れると、一段強暗くなります。

その分、ISO感度を上げないとシャッタースピード(目安＝1/1000秒）を稼げなくなります。

ISO感度も上げ過ぎると、ノイズが増え、グラデーションが綺麗でなくなったり、物の質感が損なわれるので注意が必要です。

私が使っているカメラで、ISO感度は800まで。

どうしても上げたいときは1600までとしています。

すっきりとした黄色を出したいので、露出はプラスに補正。

ISO感度を800まで上げて、プラス補正を＋１までとするか、ちょっと迷いましたが、0.7でも黄色はでていたので良しとしました。

Cloudy skies this morning.

I removed the intermediate ring because of the low light.

When the intermediate ring is inserted, the image becomes one step darker.

Therefore, I had to increase the ISO sensitivity to obtain a higher shutter speed (approx. 1/1000 sec.).

If the ISO sensitivity is increased too much, noise will increase, gradation will not be beautiful, and the texture of objects will be lost, so be careful.

With the camera I use, ISO sensitivity is limited to 800.

If I really need to increase it, I set it to 1600.

I want to get a clean yellow color, so I compensate the exposure to a positive value.

I wasn't sure whether to raise the ISO sensitivity to 800 and set the positive exposure compensation to +1, but I decided to go with 0.7 because the yellow color was still there.

- In the dream -

山茶花の葉っぱを逆光サイドから狙いました。

ちょっと日差しが薄雲に隠れたときにシャッターを切ったものです。

日差しが弱いので、露出をプラス補正。

低コントラストの淡い雰囲気で、夢の中を表現してみました。

あえてピントは外し、暈けだけの構成です。

I aimed at the leaves of the mountain tea plant from the backlit side.

The shutter was released when the sunlight was a bit hidden by light clouds.

Because the sunlight was weak, the exposure was positively compensated.

I tried to express a dreamy atmosphere with a low-contrast, pale atmosphere.

I dared to remove the focus, and only used vertigo in the composition.

- Burning Fall -

ちょっと赤味がかったコスモスの花が、逆光に輝いていたので、今日のお題としました。

マクロ撮影では、形が整っていないほうが画になります。

ピントをどこに合わせるか、迷いましたが、ガクと思われる部分が一番輝いて見えたので、そこに合わせることに。

わずかに風が吹いていて、ファインダーの中で右に左に。

風が止むのを待ちながら、連写でカバーします。

花びらにゴミでもついていたのでしょうか？

それが丸暈けを作り、良いアクセントになりました。

The slightly reddish cosmos flower was shining in the backlight, so I chose it as today's subject.

In macro photography, the less well-formed the flower is, the better the picture will be.

I was not sure where to focus. The part of the flower that I thought was the gunk looked the brightest, so I decided to focus there.

There was a slight wind blowing, which made the image move left and right in the viewfinder.

While waiting for the wind to stop, I covered it with continuous shooting.

Was there any dust on the petals?

It made a rounded vertigo and was a good accent.

- Advent -

逆光に輝いているコスモスの花を探して一枚。

一番奥にある花びらに、最も日が当たっていたのでこれを主題にすることに。

この花びらを大地に見立て、雲間から日が差し込んでいるイメージでまとめてみました。

花の形が歪んでいたので、手前の花びらによる暈けがちょうど良いところに来ました。

形の整った花より、歪んでいたり、二、三枚花びらが取れているような個体の方が、マクロ的には面白い画が撮れます。

背景を黒く落とすためにマイナス補正とし、RAW現像時にコントラストを上げています。

I took this shot looking for a cosmos flower shining in the backlight.

The petal at the far end had the most sunlight, so I decided to use it as my subject.

Using this petal as the earth, I tried to create the image of the sun shining through the clouds.

Since the shape of the flower was distorted, the petals in the foreground were in the right place.

Rather than a flower with a well-defined shape, a distorted flower with two or three petals missing is more interesting from a macro point of view.

I used a negative correction to blacken the background and increased the contrast during RAW development.

- Cosmos(小宇宙) -

コスモスもそろそろ終わりです。

花の数も少なく、大きさも小ぶりになってきました。

コスモスのように平らな花は、真横から撮ると前後の花びらが暈けて、面白い造形が得られます。

木陰に咲いている個体を探して、木漏れ日の模様を活かしました。

暗闇に浮かぶ小宇宙をイメージして、色温度は低めに、というか、例によってセンサーの誤作動？で青色なった瞬間、シャッターを切りました。

背景を黒く落とすため、マイナス補正で。

The cosmos are almost finished.

The flowers are fewer in number and smaller in size.

Flat flowers like cosmos can be photographed from the side to create interesting shapes by blurring the petals in front and behind.

I looked for an individual blooming in the shade of a tree and took advantage of the pattern of sunlight filtering through the trees.

I kept the color temperature low to create the image of a microcosm floating in the dark, or perhaps, as usual, the sensor malfunctioned? As usual, the moment the color turned blue due to a sensor malfunction, I released the shutter.

Negative correction was used to drop the background to black.

- 野菊 -

今朝は各地、今シーズン一番の冷え込みになりました。

朝露を探して野へ出発。

狙いは、朝露による丸暈けです。

丸暈けは主役にはならないので、主役になりそうなものをまず探します。

主役が見つかったら、主役の逆光サイドにまわり、その背景にきらめく朝露がないか探します。

朝露があっても、なくてもとりあえずファインダーは覗きます。

結構、意外なものが、暈けを作ることがあるからです。

この野菊も、ひとつを覗いて、他の暈けは背景にある草の反射のようです。

そのひとつだけある特徴的な丸暈けと、主役とのフレーミングを調整していると、幸運にも、主役の花の蕊にだけ日差しが当たり始めたので、フレーミングもそこそこにシャッターを切りました。

- Elegant curves -

一昨日、山茶花の葉は逆光サイドから、と書いて、順光サイドから覗くとどうなるのだろうと、ふと思い立ちました。

水滴等は、順光サイドから覗くと、虹が現れるのと同じ原理に基づき、虹色の暈けが見られます。

同様に、面白い光が見えるかもしれません。

ということで、順光サイドから、山茶花の葉っぱを覗いたのですが、葉っぱの突起は順光サイドへは光を反射しないようです。

やむなく、斜光サイド、太陽と被写体を結ぶ線に対して垂直方向、横から覗いてみたのがこれです。

突起からの光の反射は、逆光サイドより少なく、柔らかい曲線を醸し出してくれました。

反射が少ないので、葉っぱからの強い反射に消されてしまいます。

それをうまくフレームアウトさせるのがコツです。
