「浄土」

- Pure Land -

　蓮の花の花芯を主題にして、花びらについていた水玉の玉暈けをアクセントにまとめてみました。花びらはすべて暈してピンク色の雲の上に浮かんでいる雰囲気を出したつもり。

    I used the core of a lotus flower as the subject, and put it together with the polka dots on the petals as an accent. I tried to create an atmosphere of floating on a pink cloud by vertifying all the petals.

「妖炎」

　アサガオの花の根元部分、白いところあたりに日が当たっていたのでそこにフォーカシングしながら縦位置に納めてみました。天地をひっくり返してみたらなにか妖しげな感じに。

    The sun was shining on the white area at the base of the morning glory flower, so I focused on that area and took the picture in a vertical position. When the image was turned upside down, it looked mysterious.

「Big Wave」

　アサガオの花びらのウェイブを利用して、大きな波を表現してみました。花びらの一部がくびれていて、ちょうど波頭のようになっているところが面白いです。

    　I used the wave of the morning glory petals to express a large wave. The interesting part is that some of the petals are constricted, just like a wave head.

「太陽の季節」

- The season for the sun -

　トンボは今の時期、山等のもっと涼しいところに避暑に行っているはずなんですが、日中気温が３５℃を越える平地にいるとはちょっと驚きです。暑いところが好きなトンボもいるんでしょうか？トンボは自分の縄張りを持っていて、その縄張りによそ者が入ってこないように監視するため見晴らしのいい同じ場所に止まる習性があります。一度逃げられてもまた戻ってきますからじっと待っていればいい。タム９にエクステンションチューブをつけるとピントが合うのはレンズ先５０cmくらいまでです。ここまで近寄るとさすがに逃げてしまうのですが、また、戻ってきたところを一枚。前に大きく花を暈けにいれて強い太陽の日差しを強調してみました。

    At this time of summer, dragonflies are supposed to be escaping to cooler places such as mountains, but I was a little surprised to find them in the plains where the daytime temperature is over 35 degrees Celsius. Are there dragonflies that like hot places? Dragonflies have a habit of stopping at the same place where they can get a good view in order to monitor their territory and prevent strangers from entering it. Even if they get away once, they will come back again, so you just have to wait patiently. When the extension tube is attached to the Tam9, the lens will only come into focus up to about 50cm away. When I get this close to the subject, it will indeed run away, but I was able to get a shot when it came back. I tried to emphasize the strong sunlight by putting a large flower in the foreground.

「舞踏会」

- Dance -

　突然降り出した雨が小さな青い花の上に多数の小さな水の球を作りました。目一杯近寄ってその水玉のいくつかにピントをあわせ、青い花をステージに見立てて舞踏会の開催です。ステージの広がりをだすために縦横比１６：９にクロップしました。

    　Suddenly the rain started to fall, and it created many small balls of water on the small blue flower. I got as close as I could and focused on some of the water balls, then used the blue flowers as a stage for a ball. I cropped the image to an aspect ratio of 16:9 to produce the expanse of the stage.

「清涼」

　暑い日が続きます。空色の背景に薄紫色のマーガレットが映えてきれいでしたので露出補正をプラスにして、清涼感が感じられる一枚に。より清涼感を出すために花芯の黄色は少し色温度を下げてレモンイエローに仕上げてみました。

    　A hot and humid day continues. The light purple margaret looked beautiful against the sky-blue background, so I added exposure compensation to give it a cool, refreshing feel. I lowered the color temperature of the yellow center of the flower to a lemon yellow to make it look more cool and refreshing.

「Sweets」

　カーネーションといえば母の日、５月や６月の花ですが今カーネーションが盛んに花を付けています。優しいバニラ色にピンクのアクセントが可愛らしい花です。そのアクセントを主題に周りをとろけるように暈してスウィーツの出来上がりです。

    Carnations are the flower of Mother's Day, blooming in May and June, but now carnations are blooming in abundance. The flowers are a soft vanilla color with lovely pink accents. With this accent as the theme, the surrounding area is draped in a melt-in-your-mouth haze to create a sweet treat.

「脈」

　ここのところ毎日のように蝉の大合唱が続きます。主に鳴いているのはこの十数年で大繁殖を続けるクマゼミです。マクロ撮影をしている真横でうるさく鳴いているセミがいたので、そぉ～と近寄って一枚。クマゼミの特徴である羽根の緑を主題にしてまとめてみました。

    The chorus of cicadas has been going on every day for a while. The cicadas are mainly the Kuma-zemi, which have been breeding wildly over the past decade or so. There was a cicada chirping noisily right next to me while I was taking macro shots, so I approached it gently and took a picture. I focused on the green of the cicada's wings, which is one of its characteristics.

「赤紫と緑のコンツェルト」

- Concerto in Violet and Green -

　アサガオの葉の形が面白かったので、それを主題に、紫の花をアクセントの暈けにつかって一枚まとめてみました。薄い葉の先端にピンを合わせるのに一苦労。この辺りはミラーレスの機能がとても役立ちます。ミラーレスは一眼レフと異なりシャッターを切った瞬間、ファインダーに今撮影した写真が表示させることができます。そのため狙いの場所にピントが来たかどうかがシャッターを切った瞬間に分かるため、ピントがくるまで連写すればOK。この際、ピントはピントリングではなく体（あるいは腕）を前後させて調整するほうが確度が高いです。

一眼レフでは、撮影後モニターに表示して確認するか（これは老眼の身にはしんどい作業）、何枚か撮っておいて運良くピントがあってればOKと運任せにするしかなかったのでとても助かってます。

    　I found the shape of the leaves of the morning glory interesting, so I used it as the main subject and the purple flowers as an accent to create a single image. I had a hard time focusing on the tips of the thin leaves. Mirrorless cameras are very useful in this area. Unlike single-lens reflex cameras, mirrorless cameras can display the current shot in the viewfinder the moment the shutter is released. In this case, it is better to adjust the focus by moving your body (or arm) back and forth instead of using the focusing ring.

With an SLR camera, I had to either check the picture on the monitor after taking it (which is a hard task for my aging eyes) or take a few shots and leave it to chance that the picture was in focus.

「Tropical world」

　キツネノカミソリに似たユリ科の花です。もう少し赤っぽい色をしていますが、例によってクローズアップしたときにautoホワイトバランスが崩れて黄色が強調されトロピカルな雰囲気の画になりました。色温度は光のあたり具合で変化するようです。そういう偶然性を楽しむのもマクロの魅力です。

　　This is a flower of the lily family, similar to a foxtail razor. The color is a bit more reddish, but as usual, when I took a close-up, the auto white balance was broken and the yellow was emphasized, giving the picture a tropical feel. The color temperature seems to change depending on how the light hits it. Enjoying such coincidences is one of the attractions of macro photography.

「青炎」

　観葉植物に朝日があたってこんな造形を見せてくれました。この植物の葉の表面には細かな毛が生えているようでそれが暈けると炎のように光ってみえます。

　The morning sun shone on the houseplant and gave it this shape. The leaves of this plant seem to have fine hairs on the surface, and when exposed, they appear to glow like flames.

「ω（オメガ）」

　水に浮いている睡蓮の葉の端への写り込みを露出補正マイナスで撮影。直射日光が当たる状況ではコントラストが強くて飛んでしまうので雲に隠れて日差しが弱まったところでシャッターを切りました。

　I used negative exposure compensation to capture the edge of a water lily leaf floating in the water. In direct sunlight, the contrast was too strong and the image would have blown out, so I took the shot when the clouds were hiding and the sunlight weakened.

「解放」

- Liberation -

　蜘蛛の巣といっても枝の間に同心円の網状に張られるものではありません。ヒノキなど葉が密集しているところに上から落ちてくる虫を待ち受けるような鉢状の巣です。蜘蛛の糸も密集して張られるので全体がひかり白く写ります。密集しているのでそこに雨がたまり水玉ができます。そこに日が差してくるとその水玉が光を反射してひかるのですが、それをアウトフォーカスで捉えてみました。ピントがどこにもあっていないのがミソです。

    　A spider's web is not a concentric web between branches. This is a bowl-shaped web that waits for insects to fall from above in a dense foliage such as cypress. The spider's threads are also stretched out densely, so the whole area is lit up and appears white. Because the web is so dense, rain accumulates there and forms water beads. When the sun shines on them, the dots reflect the light and glow, which I captured in out-of-focus. I tried to capture it in out-of-focus. The key point is that there is nowhere in focus.

「お月見」

  日陰に咲いていたムラサキツユクサに、木漏れ日の暈けを月に見立てて落ち着いた一枚に仕上げてみました。あまり緊張感を出さないように横縦の比率を５：７にクロップしました。縦横の比率が大きいほど画に緊張感や動きがでます。落ち着いた感じを出したいときは比率を小さくします。

　  I tried to create a calm and serene image by using the shade of the purple clover blooming in the shade and the sun shining through the leaves as if it were the moon. I cropped the image to a ratio of 5:7 so as not to create too much tension. The larger the ratio of length to width, the more tension and movement the image will have. If you want to create a calm feeling, reduce the ratio.

「夜明け」

　今日、梅雨が明けました。昨年よりも15日早かったそうですが、梅雨入りも早かったので期間としては最長なんだそうです。薔薇の花に落ちる木漏れ日を利用して朝日が差す様子を表現してみました。手前の影は手をかざして作っています。

　

　The rainy season ended today. I heard that it was 15 days earlier than last year, but the rainy season also started earlier, so it is the longest rainy season. I used the sunlight falling on the roses to express the sunrise. The shadow in the foreground is made by holding up my hand.

　強い日差しが斜めから当たっている観葉植物を露出補正マイナスで撮ったらこんな画になりました。発光しているように見える部分に日差しがあたっています。

　　This is what I got when I took a picture of a houseplant that was being exposed to strong sunlight from an angle with negative exposure compensation. The sunlight is hitting the part of the plant that looks like it is glowing.

「浮遊」

　ムラサキツユクサの葉も細かな毛に覆われています。その葉の上に明け方に降った雨が水玉を多数作っていました。水玉は順光側からカメラを向けると角度によって虹色の暈けが出ます。その虹暈けをアクセントに水玉を一枚。

　さて、90mmマクロと180mmマクロの暈けの大きさですが、実際に撮ってみるのが手っ取り早いと、それぞれの最短撮影距離にて定規を撮影してみました。

左が90mm、右が180mm。どちらも31mmのエクステンションチューブを付けています。若干90mmのほうが暈け具合が大きいかな？撮影距離、アングルが全く同じではないので差はないかもしれません。

「光舞台」

　暈けの大きさは、合焦している被写体と背景、そして、カメラの位置関係で決まります。被写体と背景までの距離と被写体とカメラまでの距離の比が大きいほど大きく、小さいほど小さく暈けます。一般的に暈けは180mmの方が大きい、と言われますが、最短撮影距離では90mmマクロの暈けの方が大きいように感じます。最短撮影距離は90mmの方が短いので、被写体とカメラの距離が小さくでき、結果、被写体と背景までの距離との比率が大きくなるので180mmよりも暈けるのではないか？小難しい計算式を使うと暈けの大きさを計算できるようですが、時間があるときにでも計算してみようかな？この画は90mmに31mmのエクステンションチューブを付けて撮りました。

　　The size of the vertigo is determined by the position of the focused subject, the background, and the camera. The larger the ratio of the distance between the subject and the background to the distance between the subject and the camera, the larger the amount of vertigo, and the smaller the ratio, the smaller the amount of vertigo. Generally speaking, the 180mm macro has more vertigo than the 90mm macro, but the 90mm macro has more vertigo than the 180mm macro at the minimum focus distance. Since the minimum focus distance is shorter with the 90mm macro, the distance between the subject and the camera can be smaller, and as a result, the ratio of the distance between the subject and the background becomes larger, which may result in more vertigo than with the 180mm macro. It seems that you can calculate the size of the vertigo by using a complicated formula. This picture was taken using a 90mm lens with a 31mm extension tube.

「熔けて」

 今日は朝から雲ひとつない快晴となりました。図書館へ借りた本を返すついでに近くの公園へ。薔薇がまだ咲いていたので狙ってみました。さすがに傷んだ個体が多く、全体は撮れないので部分をクローズアップしての撮影になりました。快晴の強烈な日差しを利用しつつ部分を手で影を作りながら蕩けるような暈けに挑戦してみました。

 It was a cloudless, sunny day from this morning. I went to a nearby park to return some books I borrowed from the library. The roses were still in bloom, so I took a shot. As is to be expected, many of them were damaged, so I couldn't take pictures of the whole rose, so I had to take close-ups of parts of it. I tried to use the intense sunlight of the clear day to create shadows on the parts of the rose with my hands, and tried to create a debauched effect.

「ソナタ」

　まもなく梅雨明けでしょうか？今日も朝から日差しが強く、これからのマクロ撮影は暑さとの戦いになりそうです。アサガオもあっという間にしぼんでしまうので撮影時間も考え直さないといけないかも。日陰に咲いていたアサガオの花一輪を見つけ、木漏れ日が差し込んだところを一枚。中間リング使用。

　Is the rainy season about to end? The sun is shining strongly even though it's morning today, and I'm going to have to fight against the heat for macro photography. I may have to reconsider the time I spend taking photos of morning glories, as they quickly fade away. I found a single morning glory flower blooming in the shade, and took a picture when the sun was shining through the trees. I used an extension tube.

「真実の口」

　昨日、中間リング（エクステンションチューブ）の効用について調べました。最短撮影距離は変わらないことがわかったので、31mmのリングを90mmマクロにつけてみました。以前は、90mmにつけても、もともと最短撮影距離が短い（３０cm）ことからこれ以上短くしても意味がない（大きくはならない）と思いこんでいたのです。撮影倍率は180mmと同じ１．３倍でした。

    　Yesterday, I investigated the benefits of intermediate rings (extension tubes). I found out that the minimum focus distance does not change, so I put a 31mm ring on my 90mm macro. I used to think that even if I attached the 31mm ring to the 90mm macro lens, there was no point in shortening the minimum focus distance (30cm) since it was already short (it would not get any bigger). The magnification was 1.3X, the same as the 180mm.

　180mmでは暗いときは90mmを付けて行けそうです。ただ、ワーキングディスタンス（被写体とレンズ先端までの距離）は中間リング分短くなるのでフードが被写体と干渉する可能性が高くなります。この画を撮影するときもフードは外しました。

    If the 180mm lens is too dark, you can attach a 90mm lens. However, the working distance (the distance between the subject and the tip of the lens) is shortened by the intermediate ring, so the hood is more likely to interfere with the subject. When I took this picture, I removed the hood.

「薄い緑の印象」

　今日は朝から日が差し、セミの大合唱で始まりました。そそくさと朝食を済ませ180mmマクロに中間リングという出で立ちで撮影に。ダリアの撮影中、ちょっとカメラがブレてファインダーに飛び込んできたのがこの画です。以前にも書きましたがダリアの葉には短い毛が生えていて逆光から見ると白く光ってみえます。最初の印象を大切にして、フレーミング、ピント位置を調整して一枚にまとめてみました。

    　Today the sun was shining and the day started with a chorus of cicadas. After a quick breakfast, I went out to shoot with my 180mm macro and intermediate ring. While photographing dahlias, the camera was a bit shaky and this image appeared in the viewfinder. As I've mentioned before, the leaves of dahlias have short hairs that make them appear white and shiny when backlit. I tried to keep the initial impression in mind, and adjusted the framing and focus position to create a single image.

「夏、間近か」

　何日ぶりかに日が差しました。何日か前から羽化していたであろうセミも鳴き始めました。セミの声を聞くのは今年初めてです。早速、180mmレンズに中間リングをつけて表へ。90mmマクロより一段程暗いので明るい時でないと180mmは使えません。相変わらずの被写体ですが、花びらに付いた滴をアクセントにダリアを接写です。

    　The sun shone for the first time in days. The cicadas, which must have hatched a few days ago, have started to sing. It was the first time this year that I heard cicadas. I immediately put on my 180mm lens with the intermediate ring and went out to the front. 180mm lens can only be used when it is bright because it is a step darker than 90mm macro lens. As usual, I took a close-up of a dahlia to accentuate the droplets on the petals.

中間リングの効用

 

　180mmマクロを使うときはよく中間リングを入れます。前々から中間リングを入れるとない場合より大きく写ることは感覚としてわかっていたのですが、それは最短撮影距離が短くなる（その分被写体に近づけるので大きく写る）のか最大撮影倍率が大きくなるのか、その両方なのかよくわかっていませんでした。いつか実測してみたいと考えていて今日になってしまいました。

　実際に最短撮影距離で撮影した画像が上の２つです。上がリングあり。下がなしです。

という結果になりました。撮影距離はセンサーの位置は正確にはわからないのでカメラの真ん中辺りで測っています。使った機材は、

        カメラ        sony α iii　（センサーサイズ 35.8mm×23.9mm)

　　　レンズ        tamron 180mm マクロ　（最短撮影距離 47cm）

　　　リング        kenko 31mm接写リング

です。

ということで、最短撮影距離は変わらず、撮影倍率が上がる（１．３倍になる）ことでリングなしの時より大きく写る、ということがわかりました。その分センサーが受ける露光量は減る（２/３になる）ので２/３段シャッタースピードは落ちるはずですが、実際は１/３段しか落ちていません。撮影時の条件がまったく同じとは言えないのとレンズは中央の方が明るいので露光量がそれほどには減らないのかもしれません。いづれにしても、中間リングを入れると１～２/３段ほどレンズが暗くなるということは間違いなさそうです。

マクロレンズではないレンズの場合は最短撮影距離が（も？）短くなるようですが、この辺りはレンズ設計にも依存するのかもしれません。

ところで、中間リングというのはフィルム時代のAFもAEもなかった時代の呼び方のようです。現在、この名称で製品をだしているのはYASHIMAだけで、本当に中空のリングです。接点はないので、AFや絞り連動のAEは使えなくなります。

キヤノンはエクステンションチューブ、ニコン、Kenkoは接写リングと呼んでいます。いずれも接点を持っているのでAF/AEとも使えます。ちなみに、中間リングをつけると無限遠にはピントが合わなくなります。ピントが合うのはTamron 180mmでだいたい２～３ｍくらい先まで。ほぼ接写専用になりますから注意しましょう。

「導かれて」

　青色のアサガオが咲きました。今までは赤や赤紫ばかり。小さな水玉が花びらに残っていたのでそれを利用して画をまとめてみました。アサガオの蕊が観音様で水玉がその光に導かれる旅人に見えませんか？

　　The blue morning glory has bloomed. Until now, they have only been red or reddish purple. I found some small polka dots left on the petals, so I used them to put together a picture. The stamen of the morning glory looks like Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) and the polka dots look like travelers being guided by the light.

「思ひ」

- wish -

　今日は七夕ですね。梅雨末期にあたる日本ではこの日に星空を眺められることはなさそうですが、皆無でもないようです。個人的には七夕の日に星を見た記憶はありませんが、ただ、見ていなかっただけかもしれません。

　雨が小止みになるのを待って庭へでました。黄色い花の滴の写り込みが綺麗でしたので、これを主題にし、写り込んでいる花を背景暈けに配置して一枚まとめてみました。背景が暗く落ち込んでいるところを入れることでアクセントとし、写り込みにもメリハリがでました。

    　Today is Tanabata, the Star Festival. In Japan, where it is the end of the rainy season, it is unlikely that we will be able to see stars on this day, but it seems that not everyone will be able to. Personally, I don't remember seeing any stars on Tanabata, but maybe I just didn't see any.

　I waited for the rain to stop and went out to the garden. I saw some beautiful droplets on a yellow flower, so I made it the subject of this shot, and arranged the flowers in the background to create a dizzying effect. By adding a dark, depressed background, I was able to accentuate the subject and make the image more vivid.

「君を慕ひて」

- in Love with You -

　ムラサキツユクサに雨の名残りの水玉が沢山ついていたのでそれを演出に使って一枚まとめてみました。ムラサキツユクサの葉の表面には細かい毛が生えているらしく、水玉が綺麗な球形になります。ピント面近くに葉の上の水玉のひとつが来るようにアングルを調整しています。脇役の水玉にちょっとピントが合い過ぎたかな^^;

    I found a lot of polka dots on the purple daisy leaves, which were left over from the rain, so I used them to create this shot. It seems that the surface of the leaves of this plant is covered with fine hairs, which make the polka dots into a beautiful spherical shape. I adjusted the angle so that one of the polka dots on the leaf was near the focus plane. I think I focused a little too much on the supporting polka dots ^^;

　単調さを避けるためにダリアの花心を入れて撮ってみました。ジロリと睨まれているような感じのダリアの花心です。ダリアの種類によってはちょっとグロテスクな蕊があったりするのですが、庭に咲いている種類は大人しい部類のようです。

    　To avoid the image becoming monotonous, I took this photo with the heart of a dahlia flower. The heart of the dahlia looks like it's being stared at. Some types of dahlias have a little bit grotesque stamen, but the ones in my garden seem to be more gentle.

「小さな冒険」

- A Little Adventure -

　黄色の花の上に羽化したばかりと思われるショウリョウバッタがいたので一枚撮ってみました。生き物を撮るときは眼にピントを合わせるのがセオリーです。生き物を狙うときは180mmマクロの方が遠くから狙えるので有利なのですが、今日は、生憎雨が時折降ってくるような天気だったので開放絞りが明るい（180mmは3.5、90mmは2.8）90mmマクロを付けていました。以前、90mmでカマキリの赤ちゃんを狙ったことがあるのですが、やはり逃げられてしまいました。今回は、幸いじっとしていてくれたのでなんとかピントのあった一枚を撮れました。

    　I saw a grasshopper that seemed to have just hatched on a yellow flower, so I took a picture of it. When taking pictures of living things, the theory is to focus on the eyes. However, today it was raining occasionally, so I used a 90mm macro with a bright aperture (3.5 for 180mm, 2.8 for 90mm). I had tried to shoot a baby praying mantis with the 90mm before, but it got away from me. Fortunately, this time it stayed still and I was able to get a shot with it in focus.

「光の階廊」

- Corridor of Light -

　犬の散歩の途中で今年初めてセミの抜け殻を見つけました。セミが鳴き始めると梅雨明けも間近ですが今年はどうでしょう。

　日差しに輝く蜘蛛の巣を見つけて撮ってみました。蜘蛛の巣を撮るときは、背景が暗く蜘蛛の巣だけに木漏れ日等が当たっているものを探し、露出はマイナス補正で撮ると綺麗に撮れます。その後のRAW現像も大切で、特に、「かすみの除去」ツールは蜘蛛の糸の輝きを良くするのに便利です。星の写真でもこの「かすみの除去」ツールは使われるようです。

　On my way to walk my dog, I found a cicada shell for the first time this year. When the cicadas start singing, the rainy season is almost over, but I'm not sure about this year.

　I found a spider's web shining in the sunlight and took this picture. When taking pictures of spider webs, look for a dark background with the sun shining through the trees on the web, and use negative exposure compensation to get a beautiful picture. The RAW development process is also important, and the "Haze Removal" tool is especially useful for improving the brightness of the spider web. The "Remove Haze" tool is also used in star photography.

「雨の日に」

- on the rainy day -

 　漸く梅雨らしくなってきました。今日も朝から雨。霧雨のような細かい雨は、水滴が細かくつくのが特徴。大粒の雨だとすぐに流れ落ちてしまうので意外と水滴がつかない。最近咲き始めた芙蓉の花にも水滴が沢山ついていました。水滴や滴を撮るときは、綺麗な写り込みがあるときはその写り込みに、写り込みがないときはその表面にピントを合わせると綺麗に撮れます。

    　It's finally starting to look like the rainy season. It has been raining since this morning. Fine rain like drizzle makes fine droplets of water. When it rains in large drops, the water runs off quickly, so there are unexpectedly no water droplets. The hibiscus flowers that have recently started to bloom also had many water droplets on them. When taking pictures of water droplets or drops, focus on them when there is a beautiful reflection, or on their surface when there is no reflection, to get a beautiful picture.

「記憶」

- Memories -

　2021年の後半は雨のスタート、雨間を突いての撮影となりました。笹のような細長い葉に水滴が一列にきれいに並んでいたので、それを縦に狙ってみました。こういう時、どこに（どの水玉に）ピントを合わせるのかいつも迷います。迷ったときはピント位置を変えたバリエーションをすべて撮っておいて後から一番良さそうなものを選ぶと良いです。多くの場合、一番手前に合わせるのが私は好きなようです。ということで、ピントは一番手前のひときわ小さな水玉に合わせました。

    The second half of 2021 started off rainy, and I had to take advantage of the rainy intervals. There was a beautiful row of water droplets on a long, thin leaf like a bamboo, so I tried to capture it vertically. In this kind of situation, it is always difficult to decide where to focus (on which water droplets). When in doubt, it's best to take a series of shots with different focus positions and then choose the one that looks best. In most cases, I seem to like the one in the foreground the best. So, I focused on the very small polka dot in the foreground.
